Well guys I have now worked out the details for our new project for 2013 and as you can see our web designer Chris at Tonic has created this chart below which is to obtain bikes for the children in 2 of the orphanages in Silistra The Dimcho and Malek.
I have had no response from the many bike shops and manufactures with help however, I was told about Nicola Tanner’s father Geoff who builds bikes and sells them on at a very good price. I contact Geoff and asked if he would help us by refurbishing and securing 40 bikes for us. He was more than happy to do this but naturally would need a little time to get them together. As you can see from the chart below he has done us proud. His has set his prices for us to start from £10 to £40 which is pretty fantastic and so are the bikes. Geoff has also said he will donate 40 bike bells as well as front and back reflectors. Well done Geoff!! What an amazing chap!
All the bikes are numbered and priced so if you would like to sponsor a bike just select your bike and click on it to view a bigger photo. Should you decide to sponsor make a note of the bike number and price and using you own Paypal account, all you need to do is enter Geoff’s Paypal details and most important the number of the bike you wish to sponsor along with your name in the comment box. Geoff’s paypal address is

Once all the bikes are sponsored they will be picked up from Geoff’s house and delivered to Silistra Orphanage – We will raise the funds to cover the costs of that.

Thank you for your support, we really appreciate all your help and support - you have all been absolutely fantastic!!!

We have a project in place with the Home for the Elderly, whereby as long as we provide them with the materials wool, needles, fabric, threads etc they in turn will make garments the much needed items for the orphanages and the poor in Silistra. We rely on our friends and donors, like land filled organisations Freegal and Netmums here in the UK for such materials.
Our organisation is about sending good quality goods to the children of the Bulgarian orphanages/organisations, Items like
- For all orphanages and organisation we need:

UPDATE May 2012
We are so very lucky as we now have an English and Bulgarian group of ladies in Dobrich and Silistra area knitting for all the orphanges. The ladies have been busy all winter and have knitted 100's hats, scarves gloves and 100's of baby sets between them, so thank you all, you are doing amazing! Here in the UK our knitters have also been busy with hats, jumpers scarves from Jean and pram blankets from Mandy. Plus Dorothy and her group of knitters are flying though the 70= blankets needed for the Baby Orphanage DMSGD. They have finished the Dimcho and the Malek Preslavetz blankets. What a fantatic group of supporter we have, we are truly bless!! All these wonderful ladies do this at their own cost and donate everything to us for the orphanges. Thank you all. You are all Guardian Angels to our children.
Our cause is not about sending money however, we do have to raise the transport cost of round £1500+ so we can send the goods to Bulgaria. Therefore, we have to do booksales and bag packing when we can. We continue to search for a sponsor to help us with this, therefore, if you can help please get in touch. We could send so much more needed furniture, electrical goods and gardening items etc.
The roof needs major repairs and the funds we raised in 2010 and 2011 held at the orphanages Garden Parties will go toward the roof project. Once the target has been met for the roof, the next project is to replace the much needed large settees for the children area. When we meet the transport costs any additional funding will go towards the settees.
UPDATE: May2012
We have good news a wonderful local business man in Silistra (who wishes to remain anonymous) donated the much needed new settees to the Dimcho. This is just amazing news! Thanks a million times over to our fabulous donor! We are truly grateful for your very generous donation.
Volunteers’
We are only two people we do all the requesting, collecting, sorting, washing, packing, labeling, palliating for storage, we also organize loading in the UK and unloading and distributing in Bulgaria. I also have a full time job so have to fit collecting visits etc around that. We have one or two volunteers who collect the goods for us from time to time and people sometimes bring the goods to us. So it is not easy but worth it all when we see the faces of the children on receipt of the goods.
Our new project for 2012 for the Dimcho
This is a major task for us but we will do our best to achieve. We will be relying on kind sponsors to come forward to help us.
Our idea is to send the children and carers from the Dimcho on an activity holiday within Bulgaria during school holidays. As you can imagine this would only be a dream for the children, but we would love to make it reality. Therefore, if you or any of your friends can help please do get in touch.
UPDATE: May 2012
We are delighted to say the the Hotel Delta in Sunny Beach responded to our request for a holiday for the children at the Dimcho. They offer to take 40 children and 6 adults for 2 weeks, all inclusive holiday from 27 Aug. We are totally amazed at thiis fantatic doantion and wish to thank the owner and the sales team for all their help and support in supporting us and making a dream come true for so many children. You are just fantatic people! Thank you a million times over.
The DMSGD Baby Orphanage/Medical Centre In this Centre there are 70+ children and they are in need of additional space. They need a new building to accommodate the children with medical conditions and allow those with parents/family to visit and care for the children themselves. The plans have been agreed for a new building but there are no funds available for builders or materials. Therefore, the Director has asked if we could help them in any way. This is a huge project and way too big for us, but there is no reason why we cannot try to obtain the donated materials they need for this project and perhaps later find the labor and support. Again if you have any ideas on how you or your friends can help please do get in touch. You never know what you can do unless you try.
UPDATE: May 2012
